There are already other Highland Pony Discussion Boards on the internet however they are tightly controlled and quite restrictive in many areas. The idea of this board is that it will not be restrictive and we will listen to our membership and allow the board to develop as they want. Please use the board to advertise your items for sale, events and anything else you think that the rest of our online community would like to know about. We will not remove posts or censor anything unless we get specific complaints and will explain to any member who has a post removed or edited why. But please try and keep it clean and just remember that we are all adults so it does not have to be squeaky clean !!

Thank goodness. It's such a pity when whole threads get wiped out and valuable information is lost.

Glad to be here. It was getting too oppressive elsewhere!

Ah ha! Sounds very good! Had a bad experience elsewhere (Ahem Ahem) and got kicked off for responding to nasty insults, was only sticking up for myself but obviously wasn't part of the crowd. Nevermind, from what I've seen here, your a much nicer bunch, so looking forward to get to know you all!

Do not worry Sand1 you will struggle to get thrown of here, in crowd or not !!! And I think in contrast although we really have no proper rules or mods that check stuff the forum is freindlier and moderates itself. I had no idea a mods or admins job could be so easy despite what you get told on other forums !!

Well I know you could be me but I am not sure I could be you.
It was only a warning though and any more mutinous talk and you could be somebody else much worse than me !

I thought a number of people tried to be very helpful on the other forum, including offers to take him and back him for you?

Ah hkj, from other forum I take it! Hope I didn't insult you on there! My pony is doing fine now thanks! Got him back last weekend. We managed to do a fair bit of work on him in the indoor school at the stables, where he went like a dream, (almost). But no-one was brave enough to ride him again outdoors. (Now rearing and going right over)! I have however, ridden him only once on his return, (bareback) and he was fine until a certain point when he just refused to go forwards. We just sat for a considerable length of time, no hassle, then eventually turned for home. He stopped again at the entrance - and again we just sat. My eriskay was in front so I chucked her little carrot sticks and he watched her eat them - a step forwards - he got one too - repeat - then my son led him the last few yards. At least he kept going forwards and did not get worked up in any way! I haven't had the time to try again yet. Yes, many people were very helpful indeed on 'the other forum' but some were just downright nasty! If you read some of the replies I got you'll have understood my reactions. I did not leave - I was extinguished!! Dissolved!! OK, Kicked off! My pony is much loved and I found it very offensive when people started to suggest that I was incapable as a horse owner, then everyone just jumped on the bandwagon! I felt like a bullied schoolkid!! The people who were very kind and helpful on there, are not forgotten and I am very grateful to them. Holly being one, who introduced me to this much better site!
