Greetings All Highland Pony Folk
My name is Greer Chesher, I live in the U.S., and will be riding End to End during summer 2010 on my lovely, ahem, Dales pony Midnight. (so sorry, I didn't even know highland ponies existed!) Anyone who'd like to ride along for a day or week is welcome. I'm always looking for advise, tips, good places to visit, tea, a bed, or a friendly chat along the way. Will keep you up to date on plans here. I'm also writing this because Ruaridth threatened to cut me off if I didn't post. So there you go.

Hello Greer! That sounds great fun what you're planning. I'd love to join you but live on an island and my boy isn't exactly the perfect ride at present! But really wish you well and lots of fun Keep posting!!!!! (or the bad Highlander will axe you)!

know the lovliest people for advice on that ,live in robins hood bay,met them years ago after catching there ponies that had escaped and galloped of down the village, they have travelled end to end,all the islands, islay this year back again in a week, anyway they travelled with 2 ponies ,a goat, dog and cart got generous offers of food and fields to rest up in everywhere they went, they would take you and pony overnight (yurt accomodation)and a shire and new forest as company for your dales
