I am looking for something to do in winter for a couple of weeks. Anyone reccomend anywhere or anyone wanting a stable hand I am experienced and competent rider, and love mucking out Not bothered if I dont get to ride. Had experience with youngsters and bringing on highland ponies. Would also like to learn from any experience to gain more knowledge and understanding of horses Thanks chloe

Im not too sure where you are but I did mine at the ILPH. Was good fun and learnt a lot. Or what about Newtonmore stables? Ive been there on a working holiday and it was brill

I occasionally advertise for helpers, but they need to be local as I can't supply accommodation. Most who have come have said they've enjoyed it and a few have even said they've learnt something!
These days a lot of employers are afraid of the liability problem. If there is an accident, are you insured? The "employer" needs insurance for "employees" by law, even if there is no pay and you are a volunteer, and that is expensive. It would probably help if you were a member of the BHS.
Also, state your location, or where you would prefer to work, as has been suggested.
