According to the statistics at the bottom of the opening page for this board, there are 28 active users and 76 guests.
Considering the number of posts, isn't that a bit odd? Are there really so many people out there who never have anything to say and so never post?
If this was a group meeting face-to-face, wouldn't it seem a bit odd that almost three times as many people as those who contribute never actually open their mouths?
Just wondering!!!

I know that I haven't been posting as much as I would like to for the past three months as I've been working full-time and there just haven't been enough hours in the day. However, I finished today so watch out! ;D

I suppose we should be grateful we don't get brownie points for posting or the board would be bunged up with...rubbish! Then we'd have to trawl through that to read something interesting.

I don't think the statistics can be accurate, can they?
No complaints about the quality of the posts, I just wish there were a few more of them of the same quality.
Occasionally, there is a really interesting thread, then it goes quiet again. Too quiet!

I've not had much to say lately because I've not been doing much horsey-wise. My horses went AWOL and took off every time I got near! I did ride Suilven about 2 weeks ago and he was a very good boy! Think he's maturing a wee bit - unfortunately so am I!! Got my saddles on eBay so with any luck I'll shift them and be able to put pennies towards something better - meantime I'll just stick to bare-back.

I like it here, I too have been quieter than usual due to life/injury/little internet, but still like to read and catch up on what you have all been doing. Sometimes I feel like I've not much to input on some of the more technical stuff, bit beyond me, and I don't really show my Highland, but try to contribute where I can. How to liven up? Maybe some random stuff, like the old piccy thread I did a few months back, sometimes this leads into other horse related conversations.

Sometimes I come on and I'm the only one! So then I amuse myself by looking through old posts and seeing how many I can contribute to and bring back to life.

I never have very much to say if I'm honest...shame really, I agree the quality of posts on here is great and we get some great discussions. Many times I tend not to post but read with great interest, just because I have nothing to add but learn through reading what everyone else has to say. I'll try harder in future...I promise ;D

I must say the statistics do seem a bit odd! Recently I noticed four birthdays -- but none mentioned were members or names I have heard of! Then apparently 87 guests and 22 members. Membership is going down but there are more guests! Well, it is the quality that matters, not the quantity.

Well, it is the quality that matters, not the quantity. Very true.
