I have copied this from the other forum in case R doesn't get to see it.
The biggest thank you in the world « Thread Started Yesterday at 9:20pm » This is for Ruaridh.... hero of the moment and angel in disguise. Travelling up from East Lothian to Kingussie for the Serc Ride, I had checked all.... grease towbar ... check.... wheel bearings ... check .... tyre pressures .... check then bang on Drummochter Summit.... the wheel fell off..... 15 minutes later Ruaridh Ormiston was on the scene with rescue transport and the miraculous "George"..... Half an hour later Horse in loosebox at Newtonmore Trekking Centre... and trailer on the way to being fixed.
PLEASE ... A ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR A KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOUR....
what a fantastic ride... thanks to a highland gentleman!

Thank goodness for people who are willing to go out of their way to help when things go wrong... It's ridiculous how many people will just drive past a break down!

Good on you Ruaridh for being such a hero & going to that lady & her horse's rescue. Great to hear, it restores your faith in human kindness!

LOL - all in a days work for us Highlanders !!! My friend George is the one that deserves all the praise - I just did the rescue mission and provided the stabling. George found four new wheel studs and nuts and a wheel and tyre on a Sat night and re-fitted them ! Don't tell my dad where we got them from though - LOL he has a 3 legged trailer at the moment ?
