"Plenty of rain in May fills the farmers barns with hay"
We are getting desperate for rain now.
Have any of you had much rain in April?

Our ground is begging for rain...it's like concrete! Never thought I'd say it but we really do need some rain....

Dry in Easter Ross too but not as bad as parts of the south. Rain is forecast but probably not enough. Also a cold wind and very low temperatures at night so getting very short of grass.

It's trying to rain here now but making a pathetic attempt at it.

It's doing exactly the same here, but I think we might get some proper rain at last now. I just hope my big horse is still standing in the field shelter, waiting on his tea, so that the mud in which he is invariably covereds stays dry to I can brush it off and rug him. (Not a Highland - 23 and arthritic so needs to keep warm.)

Yipee...."Blow your horn Gabriel" it's raining, one of those steady, moderate falls that does not just run off, the crops should be getting a good drink. ;D

Getting another good soaking just now...... warm too, this will make the crops grow. Wet day at Thainstone then for me, but under cover so I'll keep dry.

We had a fair bit of rain over the last 36 hours, then sustained heavy rain through last night. I left a bucket out and it has about an inch and a quarter in it this morning.
The grass has shot up overnight. Just in time too. There is more forecast for today and overnight again.
